Company Profile of Stucco Italiano

Stucco Italiano was established in the late 90’s, but the founder, Giovanni Polistena has been in the Italian stucco business for over 30 years. He has always specialized in Stucco Veneziano as well as in other lime-based products, in general.

He started his business in the Venice Region, birthplace of Italian craftsmanship and center of Italian architecture. He soon began working abroad applying Stucco Veneziano and teaching others the art of it application.

In the 90’s, he decided to combine his experience with that of his friends, second generation producers of lime-based products, and from this synergy, Stucco Italiano was launched. Its primary goals have been to disseminate the use of traditional Italian stuccos and its original application techniques.

Now that the use of Venetian stuccos has proliferated around the world, this former goal has become a mission. Unfortunately, this fashionable trend of using Italian stuccos has encouraged the production of poor imitations and incorrect application procedures, so Stucco Italiano’s primary objective is now to provide proper training for the professional. These courses abroad take place regularly and at our workshops in Italy as well as at schools for craftsmen, at the offices of our best clients and distributors, and also at other craftsmen’s places of business.
