Terracotta powder to give a terracotta look to Marmorino. It is used to impart a natural or rustic feeling. It is typically used on verandas, in kitchens, or in hallways to go with stone or brick flooring.
Sieved powder made of old, crushed terracotta bricks. Old terracotta bricks, which have been bisqued at low temperatures over a long period of time, are soft. The powder is crushed with a trowel during the final polishing phase.
Add the contents of a 400 g Terracotta Fine container to a 24 kg bucket of Marmorino Veneziano Classic for use during application of the final coat. It is not necessary to add any to the previous coats.
Add the contents of a 950 g Terracotta Coarse container to a 24 kg bucket of Marmorino Veneziano Carrara for use during application of the final coat. It can be used in all the coats or at least in the last two coats.
The powder is crushed with a trowel during the final polishing phase. It is normal that small pieces of uncrushed terracotta will leave small scratches on the surface of the finish. This is one of the characteristics of this finish.
Add the terracotta just before applying it. The material should be used within a few days because terracotta makes the lime hydraulic, and it could, therefore, harden inside the bucket. Terracotta is made of clay and what distinguishes slaked lime from hydraulic lime is the presence of clay.
It’s especially effective when used in conjunction with yellow, ivory and light terracotta colors (our colors 04, 05, 06, and 20).
